Emirates Neon Group’s publishing and broadcast division; ENG Media has launched the only weekly title of its kind, MediaWeek Middle East will cover local, regional and international news from the industry as well as creative reviews and analysis and indepth opinion. The focus will be heavily on Middle East news to serve the growing media industry in the region.
Circulation of MediaWeek Middle East will be 10,000 copies per week across the GCC and Levant with an up weighting in the media hubs of Dubai and Abu Dhabi where increasingly high numbers of blue-chip, multi-national and regional brands are choosing to centralise their regional communication strategies.
Based on a free-distribution model, individual copies will be sent to subscribers as well as bulk copies delivered to companies within the core industry sectors- advertising, media planning and buying, PR, research agencies as well as to media owners and client marketers. The title has been registered with BPA Worldwide and an application for auditing submitted.
ENG Media has brought together some of the strongest names in media journalism and publishing in the market to produce and market the magazine. The team includes Chris Wright (who launched and edited Communicate magazine) on board as Executive Editor, Peter Barton (ex editor of Gulf Marketing Review) as Editor, and Adam Grundy (ex deputy editor of Communicate) who joins as his Deputy Editor.
On the commercial side, Ashley Rees is on board as Publisher (Ashley was a key member of the launch team of Campaign Middle East) and Tanya Sharp joins as Commercial Manager.
Sharp comes with a wealth of media trade publishing experience including stints in the UK at reputed publishing houses and in Hong Kong for the pan Asian title, Media magazine.
